Pasadena’s buzzing with excitement for the Tournament of Roses. Hopeful parade spectators camp out along Colorado Avenue. The New Year’s countdown begins. And just as the clock strikes midnight, we’re off.

Join us, and a couple thousand of your closest friends, for a 5K night run along the iconic Rose Parade route. Revel in the start of a new year and all the possibilities coming your way.

Beat the Countdown

One last run. One epic finish.

Beat the Countdown challenge returns. You’ll toe the start line early, chasing down a 5K in under 20 minutes before the clock strikes midnight. Limited spots*, unlimited bragging rights. You in? Be sure to select “Beat the Countdown” as your Start Group during registration if you’re up for the challenge. No additional cost to participate. Awards will be provided for both the Beat the Countdown challenge and the general midnight start.

*Validation from past race data is required to be eligible.

Bring your ID to Bib Pick Up

To celebrate with an alcoholic beverage, you must be 21 years of age or older and must present a valid ID and receive a wristband. These wristbands are non-transferable and must be kept on through the end of the event to participate.

FAQs

  • The course time limit is 1 hour after the final participant crosses the start line.

  • The rain will not deter us, we will run rain or shine. Dress for the weather and dress for comfort.

  • A friend or family member can pick up your package and shop with your discount, as long as they have your confirmation email. However, they cannot pick up your wristband to enjoy an alcoholic beverage post-race. You must be present to show your ID in person to receive your wristband. 

  • While we love our furry friends, unfortunately we cannot allow animals on the course. Certified service animals are of course invited to join us.

  • Yes, you can switch your entry to another participant through your Race Roster account. Log into Race Roster, select the ‘Transfer’ tab on the left side of the registration form, and then select the button called ‘Transfer to a new participant. Follow the next steps to complete the participant transfer. All transfers incur a $5 USD fee.

    NOTE: It is the responsibility of the individuals to arrange the exchange of the original registration fee.

  • All participants will receive a race bib, a custom finishers medal, an invite to the post-race festivities, and more.

  • Your registration into the lululemon Run With the Roses 5K is non refundable.

  • Guests must be 13+ to participate in the lululemon Run with the Roses 5K.

  • Parking and ride share drop are both located at Paseo Colorado Parking Garage (155 E Green St). For those arriving from the west, please use Arroyo Seco Pkwy to avoid any road closures. 

  • If you are planning on running with a stroller, please start at the back of the corrals and be courteous of those starting around you. You do not need to register the baby in the stroller.
